Main Duties:

  • Preparing qualitative bid documents consisting of
    • Cost price
    • Execution methodology
    • Terms and conditions
    • Risk analysis for on and offshore projects
  • Ensure that a qualitative project can be delivered in compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Be responsible for, and contribute to, achieving the goals of Hughes Subsea by preparing high quality bids and identifying potential optimisation on technical and cost aspects and other relevant input.
  • Conduct business in an ethical and responsible manner, at all times serving the interest of the company.
  • Ensure that the respective critical functions within the company are involved in your day to day activities in a timely fashion
  • Provide functional supervision guiding, coaching and yearly evaluation of your direct reports (where applicable) and ensure their continuous development.
  • Ensure that your direct reports (where applicable) understand and adhere to the business processes applicable to them under the Business Management System.
  • Ensure resolution of any non-conformities, gaps, dis-functions of people in executing their duties.
  • Receive bids, review bid classification and decides on external support required.
  • Co-ordinate upcoming and running bids and tenders.
  • Arranging and chairing bid Strategy to Win meetings.
  • Ensure bid is reviewed and a risk and opportunity assessment is prepared.
  • Ensure hazards, threats and opportunities are identified and recorded
  • Ensure client requirements and governance are met as far as possible and identify any deviations.
  • Act as check & balance during the preparation process through informal meetings.
  • Chair weekly bid meetings in which all open and to be expected bids are discussed with the relevant personnel.
  • Maintain bid lists and opportunities.
  • Arranging and chair bid Approval Meeting.
  • Engage supporting personnel for advice where required

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Good organisation skills
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to coordinate information from both internal and external customers
  • Manage tender schedules and ensure other within the company comply with schedule
  • Good IT skills


  • QCF Level 6 or Higher Qualification in Business, Quantity Surveying or Other Relevant Subject

5 Years’ Experience in Similar Role Preferred

Mon - Fri - 0830-1700 - Hybrid/Remote/Office based options available
